Observation is a sci-fi game, where players find themselves alone on an International Space Station. Following the story of Dr. Emma Fisher, players will quickly get the feeling that the space station has been abandoned. However, Dr. Fisher soon explains that the rest of the crew members seem to have gone missing, and are currently unreachable. Understandably, Dr. Fisher begins to become afraid and makes finding the missing crew members priority number one for herself and the on ship AI, S.A.M.
Despite following the story of Dr. Fisher, players will play the game solely through the eyes of S.A.M., which stands for System Administration & Maintenance. S.A.M. exists to serve Dr. Fisher and the rest of the crew with any of their technological needs. The artificial intelligence system can do things like open hatches, voice authenticate, connect to the stations computers, and much more, all which support the plot of the game.
